THURSDAY, JUNE 1

County commissioners

The Teton County commissioners will meet at 10 a.m. on June 1 in the conference room on the main floor of the county courthouse. Agenda items include: decision on request for funding from Front Range CASA/GAL Inc., approval of a task order from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services for the immunization program that the Teton County Health Department administers, action on the chip-seal bid received for the Teton Canyon Road resurfacing project, approval of a procurement policy for the county and approval of two road encroachment permits.

SRVHS tour

The Sun River Valley Historical Society First Thursday Tour will be held June 1 at 2 p.m. with Ken Robinson as the featured speaker followed by tours until 5 p.m. Those wishing to have lunch before the tour at the Fort Shaw Community Center should call 406-264-5705 before 8 a.m. that morning.

MONDAY, JUNE 5

SRVHS

The regular meeting of the Sun River Valley Historical Society will be held on June 5 starting with the board at 1 p.m. followed by the general meeting 2 p.m. in the Fort Duplex. There will be refreshments and door prizes. Contact President Burnette Batista for more information.

Choteau Lions Club

The Choteau Lions Club will meet June 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the meeting room at John Henry’s restaurant.

Dutton Town Council

TUESDAY, JUNE 6

Drivers Exam Station

The Choteau Driver Exam Station will be open June 6 from 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Teton County Courthouse. Call 1-406-444-1772 or go online to www.dojmt.gov/driving for an appointment.

Veterans Affairs officer

A Montana Veterans Affairs officer will be in Choteau June 6 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Courthouse Annex. For further assistance, call 406-452-2265.

Veterans Legion Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary will meet June 6 at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Hall back meeting room. For more information, contact Betsy Styren at 406-590-4158.

Choteau City Council

The Choteau City Council will meet June 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the city office. Tentative agenda information includes: approval of minutes of the previous meeting; approval of council member requests to be out of state; review of reports on law enforcement, city court, public works, finances and mayor and council. American Legion Post 6

WIC

The Teton County Health Department offers the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday starting on the last Tuesday of each month (May 31 and June 1), with in-person appointments in Choteau and some remote and hybrid options available. Stretch into Health

Stretch into Health elastic-band based strength training for older adults at the Choteau Baptist Church on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:15-5 p.m. and 5:15-6 p.m., Memorial Day to Labor Day. Schedule for the upcoming week: May 29 and June 1, no class. June 5 and June 8, with Shelby.
