The Choteau swim team competed in a huge home-town swim meet on July 17 and 18 in Choteau and had 12-year-old Dax Yeager win all three of his events, taking first in the 50-free in 30.62 seconds, first in the 50 breast stroke in 43.31 seconds and first in the 100 free in 1:10.67.
Twenty-six walkers and runners took part in the Craig Storle Memorial one-mile and 5K races in Dutton on July 10. Austin Storle, 25, won the one-mile race in the men’s division with a time of 5:48. Amelia Schuler, 9, of Dutton won the women’s division with a time of 10:18.
Peter Weir, 16, of Cadott, Wisconsin, won the Let Freedom Run 5K race on July 4 in Choteau, completing the 3.1-mile course in 18:00. He was also the winner in the men’s 39 and younger division.
