Sept. 23 — 8:02 a.m., deputy issued a verbal warning for motorist traveling through Fairfield and took the old license plates that were inactive off the vehicle and brought them to the Sheriff’s Office.

— 9:34 a.m., Sheriff’s Office was notified of a gun found in the backcountry near the North Fork behind Gibson Dam.

— 1:25 p.m., deputy assisted with a civil issue in Power.

— 5:40 p.m., dispatch confirmed all was okay when contacting a Choteau resident for a reported fire by an alarm company.

Sept. 24 — 6:03 p.m., Fairfield ambulance responded to a medical emergency at Front Range Assisted Living and transported a patient to Benefis in Great Falls.

— 6:25 p.m., Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department responded to a combine fire at 1230 Third Road S.W.

— 7:44 p.m., motorist on U.S. Highway 89 near Choteau reported hitting a deer, causing little damage to the vehicle.

— 9:06 p.m., deputy met a bus at Choteau High School and issued a citation for a student on suspicion of possession of tobacco products.

— 10:04 p.m., Cascade County deputy arrested a woman on Teton County warrant in Great Falls.

Sept. 25 — 3 a.m., motorist reported cows on U.S. Highway 89 east of Fairfield causing a traffic concern.

— 8:27 a.m., Choteau resident filled out a statement about an unsafe driver in a school zone.

— 9:45 a.m., Choteau resident reported a hit gas line that was hissing at 16 First Ave. S.W.

— 12:17 p.m., NorthWestern Energy was notified of a possible gas line leak in the alley behind 605 Second Ave. S.W., Choteau.

— 1:21 p.m., Choteau ambulance crew provided a lift assist at 424 Seventh Ave. N.W., with the patient refusing transport.

— 3:05 p.m., deputy searched for a woman reportedly sitting on the railroad tracks behind the Stage Stop Inn in Choteau and did not find anyone.

— 3:41 p.m., Choteau ambulance responded to a medical emergency at 4210 U.S. Highway 89 and transported a patient to Benefis Teton Medical Center in Choteau.

— 5:39 p.m., Choteau resident reported unauthorized vehicles trespassing on his property.

— 6:57 p.m., suspicious individual was reported at 1005 Main Ave. N. in Choteau.

— 8:17 p.m., Power ambulance responded to a lift assist call at 802 Rainbow Ave. and transported the patient to Benefis in Great Falls.

— 8:59 p.m., Choteau resident reported an erratic driver on Teton Canyon Road and U.S. Highway 89.

— 11:30 p.m., Fairfield resident reported the theft of his weather station from 322 Fourth St. N.

Sept. 26 — 7:39 a.m., Fairfield resident reported her vehicle was broken into the previous night.

— 2:02 p.m., Child abuse hotline reported a possible case of child abuse in Choteau.

— 4:09 p.m., parent requested a welfare check on children in Choteau.

— 6:41 p.m., deputy spoke with woman for trespassing on private property in Choteau.

Sept. 27 — 6:19 a.m., deputy checked on woman sitting in a vehicle at a Choteau business. The woman had caused a disturbance the previous day at that establishment.

— 9:08 a.m., a hospice death was reported at Rockport Colony.

— 1:49 p.m., Choteau resident report his vehicle had been broken into.

— 2:26 p.m., Choteau ambulance responded to a medical emergency at 606 Third St. S.W. with the patient refusing transport.

— 2:56 p.m., Choteau VFD responded to hit gas line between Second and Third Avenues Southwest.

— 6:39 p.m., Choteau resident spoke with the Sheriff’s Office regarding a domestic issue.

— 9:41 p.m., deputy responded to complaint of children running in the hallway at a Fairfield apartment building and possibly vandalizing property.

— 10:37 p.m., a traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a man on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Sept. 28 — 7:24 a.m., deputy investigated a vehicle in the ditch along U.S. Highway 89.

— 7:59 a.m., Choteau resident reported a tree had fallen on her house at 15 Fourth Ave. S.W.

— 8:21 a.m., NorthWestern Energy responded to down power lines at First Street and Second Avenue Northwest.

— 8:50 a.m., Fairfield VFD responded to down power line at Second Avenue North and Fourth Street North.

— 9:47 a.m., motorist reported snow caused damage to his vehicle on U.S. Highway 89.

— 11:11 a.m., a downed power line at Seventh Street by the Water Tower was reported in Fairfield.

— 11:53 a.m., NorthWestern Energy was called for a power line down at Seventh Road Northwest and First Lane Northwest.

— 12:59 p.m., deputy responded to possible accident on Secondary Highway 431 but determined the vehicle was stuck and driver was attempting to get off the highway.

— 1:48 p.m., Choteau motorist reported possibly being hit by another vehicle.

— 2:07 p.m., a vehicle in the ditch on U.S. Highway 89 was reported.

— 3:25 p.m., Choteau resident reported a down power line at 22 Seventh Ave. S.W.

— 3:51 p.m., Augusta business requested information on Sheriff’s Office possibly paying for a customer who is staying at that establishment.

— 3:52 p.m., a down power line was reported at 405 Fourth Ave, S.W.

— 4:10 p.m., power lines in the alley between Second and Third St. Northeast were reported to be arcing.

— 4:26 p.m., motorist reported terrible travel conditions on Interstate 15 out of Power.

— 4:44 p.m., power line down at Fifth Avenue Northeast and Division St. in Choteau was turned over to NorthWestern Energy.

— 6:01 p.m., out-of-state homeowner requested deputy check on residence in Choteau after a report of a fallen tree on the property.

— 6:09 p.m., Choteau business owner requested deputy for possible shoplifter.

— 6:18 p.m., Choteau VFD responded to a down power line at South Main Avenue and Sixth Street Northwest.

— 7:13 p.m., Power resident reported a neighbor leaving a hazardous berm of snow in the middle of a county road.

From Sept. 23-28, deputies issued one citation for speeding, gave two warnings for speeding, three warnings for an improperly working headlight and one each for an expired license plate, inactive taillight and not maintaining lane.
