Pertussis confirmed in D/B schools

Posted: Wednesday, January 8, 2014 3:00 pm

Seven cases of pertussis have been confirmed in the Dutton/Brady school in December, according to the Teton County Health Department. The ages of these cases range from a young child to adolescents. So far no confirmed cases have occurred in adults.

Health officials are concerned because of the increase in cases during the most recent weeks and the low level of protection among young children in Montana, said Melissa Moyer, the accreditation and immunization coordinator for the Teton County Department.
