Seniors and eighth graders from Augusta, Dutton/Brady and Power public schools will graduate during commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 18.

Augusta’s graduation ceremony will be held in the school gymnasium at 1 p.m. The senior class valedictorian is Samsara Mahlum and the salutatorian is Dalton Lee. Rounding out the senior class are Ezra Bolles, Cort Burdick, Taylor Converse-Fleer, Cody Ellsworth, Borja Estella-Oller, Tregg Olsen, Kolton Scherrer and Bridger White.

The three eighth graders will also be recognized during the ceremony. They are Wyatt Barrett, Cameron Ellsworth and Jonathan Harris.

Matt Genger, Augusta Public School superintendent, will be the speaker at the graduation ceremony.

The Dutton/Brady graduation ceremony will also be held at 1 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

Tom Tramner, a longtime teacher and coach who taught at the Brady School District and works for the Dutton/Brady School District, will be the guest speaker. He coaches football and track and teaches social studies, health and physical education. In asking him to speak at graduation, the seniors said they appreciate his unfailing positivity and support of all his students.

Tierra Chapdelaine, Grace Feldmann, Bradley Habel, Shay Stern, Grace Weber and Molly Wahl will receive their high school diploma. Weber is the class valedictorian and Wahl is the salutatorian.

The Dutton/Brady band will play “Pomp and Circumstance” as graduates march in, and the choir will perform a special number during the ceremony.

The eighth-grade students — Brynn Bucher, Jayden Bucher, Nadely Chapman-Roberts, Amara Cloninger, Montanalee Greyn, Tavin Harris, Shane Samsal, Guytanum Wakkinen and Makaela Welker — will be recognized during the graduation ceremony.

The Power graduation ceremony is slated for 3 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

Hope Smelser, the daughter of Keith and Val Smelser, is the class valedictorian and Jessica Maruska, daughter of Kevin and Wendy Maruska, is the salutatorian.

Mark Jensen, a longtime school board trustee, owner and operator at Smoot Honey and father of graduate Maggie Jensen, will be the guest speaker.

During the graduation ceremony, the Power High School choir will perform and scholarships and awards will be presented to the seniors.

The seniors graduating from Power are Alexis Bell-Baker, Gaije Blackwell, Bryce Firsick, Olivia Grimsley, Peyton Hill, Margaret Jensen, Maruska, Conan Rehm, Smelser, Zane Somerfeld and Joseph Zylks.

The eighth graders being recognized the ceremony will be Allie Eaves, Alexis Flaten, Aliyah LittleYoungMan, Hailey May, Kyra Nice, Monique Schwalbach, Jersey Somerfeld and Maggie Toeckes.
