Calendar deadlines for print and online
The deadline for submitting calendar notices in the print edition of the Acantha is Friday at 5 p.m. Some groups have returned to meeting in person with social distancing being observed and others are meeting via videoconferencing. With meeting status changing quickly all are encouraged to contact that group’s representatives if unsure of how the meeting is being held. TUESDAY, AUG. 4
Choteau City Council
The Choteau City Council will meet Aug. 4 at 6:30 p.m. via video conferencing. Tentative agenda information includes: approval of minutes of the previous meeting; approval of council member requests to be out of state; review of reports on law enforcement, city court, public works, finances and mayor and council. THURSDAY, AUG. 6
The Teton County Commissioners will meet Aug. 6 at 10 a.m. in their office in the county courthouse in Choteau. Agenda items include, public hearings on road and drug employee policy and county employee policy, a budget amendment and dissolving of the hospital district and ratification of the union contracts. MONDAY, AUG. 10
Pendroy School Board
The Pendroy School Board will meet Aug. 10 at 8 a.m. at the Rockport Colony School. For agenda information, contact Clerk Emily Hansmann at 469-2288.
The Teton County Commissioners will hold a special meeting on Aug. 10 at 5 p.m. to allow county employees an opportunity to weigh in on proposed changes to the employee policies.

Drivers Exam Station
The Choteau Driver Exam Station will be open Aug. 11 from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. at the Teton County Courthouse. Appointments are now needed. Call 1-866-450-8034 or go online to www.dojmt.gov/driving.
Veterans Affairs officer
A Montana Veterans Affairs officer will be in Choteau on Aug. 11 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Courthouse Annex. For further assistance, call 452-2265.

Choteau School Board
The Choteau School Board will hold a special meeting on Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Choteau High School library and via videoconference software. Agenda items include: consider hiring staff, use of facility for a basketball camp, negotiations, non-certified staff wages, acceptance of resignation, memorandum of agreement with Choteau Education Association, offer extra-curricular contracts for the 2020-21 school year and reopening plans for the 2020-2021 school year.
